The football season will end on Sunday evening with the final of the Club World Cup. It has already been a season that Paris Saint-Germain will look back on with pride for decades to come. In addition to winning the domestic double, the red and blue club from the French capital also took the UEFA Champions League crown and now have the chance to add the proverbial icing on the cake at MetLife Stadium. Luis Enrique's team is, as expected, considered the clear favorite in the final. A team that has knocked Bayern and Real Madrid out of the competition one after the other, has been performing at absolute limit of it's abilities for several weeks and is brimming with self-confidence, logically has the best chance of taking the final step toward the title and thus claiming the approximately 40 million prize money. The Londoners also deserved to reach the final and are eager to pull off a surprise coup. Chelsea was the last European team to lose a Club World Cup final. The London based club narrowly lost 0-1 to Brazilian side Corinthians in 2012. Since 2013, however, a European club has won every one of eleven Club World Cups. It's already clear that this streak will definitely continue.
