The record champion could finally be crowned on Tuesday, a few days before the final match against the rivals Fenerbahce. With five points ahead and two games left, slowly but surely, Galatasaray fans are getting ready for the long-awaited championship celebration. Galatasaray is basically playing a very successful season, winning 25 of the 33 games. With 26 conceded goals, the defense is also the best in the competition. After slight wobbles and two games without win, Galatasaray recovered fast and celebrated three wins in a row against Basaksehir, Istanbulspor and Sivasspor. In the first match against Ankaragucu Okan Buruk's team manage to win 2-1, but in fact the last two away games at Eryaman Stadium ended without a point for the guests from Istanbul. Ankaragucu is just bellow the middle of the table. The hosts are five points ahead of the first relegation place but they still have to play three times. The remaining three opponents belong to the top 8, so the rest of the program is not easy. With only one defeat from the last six games their form looks very consistent.
