AEK Athens suffered a heavy defeat while visiting the small team from Armenia. Even the best specialists in the world must have rubbed their eyes in amazement last week. The main story here can FC Noah successfully hold on to the lead they gained at home in the OPAP Arena. The Armenians manage to win the first game 3-1. AEK eliminated Inter Escaldes in the second qualifying round with 4-3 and 4-0, respectively and so one could have assumed that the first leg against the Armenians would go more or less the same way. No way because the strong FC Noah may be an unknown quantity, but it has the potential to successfully hold on to the lead it has worked out over time. Of course, the brand new OPAP Arena will be filled to the last seat and will make AEK's task easier, but that alone will not cause the guests to fall into a state of shock. We could probably at least see the repeat of the same result in the 2nd leg, which will put the match in extra time. |
