Whenever you think that the Londoners are finally in a stronger streak, it breaks off again. For the first time this season there were three wins. Actually, the three successes had to be viewed with caution immediately after the final whistle. 2-1 against Crystal Palace, 3-2 in Luton and 1-0 against Fulham, against anything but strong opponents, Chelsea victories came anything but easy. So it wasn't surprising to everyone that things are now going down steeply again. Crystal Palace have collected seven points less than Chelsea, meaning they are only four points ahead of the first relegation zone. After all, they haven't lost twice in a row since the beginning of December. Good to know, after all is that recently they lost 1-4 against Brighton. The Eagles should rely on the fact that they have recently become more stable in their own stadium. After four defeats in a row, they managed seven points in the last three home games. |
