| It's time for the start of the new season in the Champions League. After the preliminary rounds now the teams are divided in eight groups with 4 teams each. AC Milan made it to the semi-finals last season, and this success has definitely rise the interest of the team. Now the Rossoneri have been drawn into the so-called group of death with Paris Saint-Germain, Borussia Dortmund and Newcastle United. This makes it all more important to all teams to win their home games. The fans at San Siro will be expecting a win on Tuesday, but Milan completely failed in the derby against Inter in Serie A just a few days ago. And although the English opponent doesn't exactly arrive in top form, the bookies give almost equal chances of both sides for the win. On the other hand the guests manage to win their match at the weekend against Brentford 1-0 at home. But the win also didn't came easily as the winning goal came in the second half from penalty. Both teams never met before in the European tournaments. Milan has a total of 47 mathes against clubs from the island and with 13 wins the record could of course be significantly better. Last season in their home game vs Chelsea, they've recorded a 0-2 defeat. |
