After a disappointing last season in which Marseille finished in 8th place in Ligue 1 now the team is looking ready to be in top four again. After the almost perfect start Marseille have won just two of their last five games. Roberto De Zerbi's side is now six points behind league leaders Paris Saint-Germain and have no room for mistakes here. Auxerre returned to the top tier after a year away and now the main objective is to remain their position in Ligue 1 and to avoid another relegation. It has been a challenging opening to the season with four defeats in the first five rounds in the league. In the next five matches, Auxerre lost only once so the team manage to climb in the middle of the table. In the previous match, Christophe Pelissier's side produced their best performance of the season, winning 4-0 at home to Rennes.
