The Basques are currently slipping further and further, so there shouldn't be any more slip-ups in the home game against a relegation candidate. It's extraordinary what has happened to Athletic Bilbao in the last few weeks. When they started the winter break with a 3-0 win against Valladolid, there was no sign of jubilation. So far so good, just before the turn of the year the team returned to the league with a 0-0 draw. The same result was also a few days later against Osasuna. Then came the 1-3 against Sociedad, 0-2 against Real Madrid and 0-1 against Celta Vigo, the unsuccessful phase was getting longer and longer. Two wins from the last twelve games, five matches without a goal and the crisis is spreading. In any case, there have only been five games in the entire season including goals from both sides in the Bilbao's games. The Andalusians are almost at the bottom of the table but ahead of them six teams are just one or two points higher. So nothing is lost yet, mainly because it is actually running relatively constantly at the moment. There have only been four victories this season, but two within the last four rounds. With 3 losses from the last 14 matches Cadiz is surprisingly doing well.
