| Romania recently suffered a 1-2 defeat in Austria. Now it's time to get some points against weaker opponent. In the Nations League, Romania comfortably advanced to League B as the leader with 18 out of a possible 18 points. Kosovo finished behind them, while Cyprus took third place. This clearly shows that Romania won both matches. They managed a 3-0 away win and the rematch on the last matchday ended 4-1. While the team from the island was able to keep up with them quite well at home in terms of chances, we witnessed a clear dominance of the pitch in the second encounter. After three matches Romania have just three points, which came from the match against San Marino. Narrow defeats followed against Bosnia 0-1 and now against the Austrian national team 1-2. They urgently need three points against Cyprus to improve their position in the race for the top two places.
